Hair Toppers | Base Material Chart
Ellen Wille hair toppers are hand crafted and made with the highest quality materials. Each base is carefully selected for its benefits and properties, resulting in lightweight and natural looking hair. Below you will find information on each material along with it’s unique properties
Monofilament (hand-tied): Referring to the "Top area" of a topper; Most natural looking density; natural hair growth appearance and provides multi-directional parting options
Double Monofilament (hand-tied): Two layers of material for additional comfort; Most natural looking density; natural hair growth appearance and provides multi-directional parting options
Polyurethane (aka PU, Skin): Used as a way to seal the perimeter of monofilament areas for durability; allows for use of adding clips or tape adhesives for semi-permanent bonding
Hand-Tied Back: Natural growth appearance and movement; creates a natural-looking density
Wefted: Provides a fuller density appearance and durability; allows for a lower cost investment and quicker production time
Lace (Welded Lace): Can be found as a lace front or used throughout the base design. Welded lace allows for a natural hairline appearance and is a more durable lace material than others on the market.
Comfort Lace: Lace front with 2 layers of materials; made up of welded lace and swiss lace sewn together for maximum comfort. -Individual sheets of swiss lace are available for purchase so you can transform any regular lace front into a comfort lace
Pressure Sensitive Clips: An attachment method for toppers that do not need the use of adhesives. Clips are strategically placed to evenly distribute the weight of the topper on someone’s head to prevent discomfort and breakage. -Different sizes and colors of clips are available for purchase
